Job Brief
Under the supervision of the Top management, you will be in charge of implementing and orienting MetroCredit COOP Ltd’s information technology system, MetroPay platform as well as implementing the interconnectivity system across MetroCredit’s future branches including managing all engagements with possible 3rd party platform providers like MoMo, OM, Wafacash etc.

Functional Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure & System Management
- Oversee network infrastructure and ensure system functionality.
- Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers for seamless operations.
- Manage installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware and software.
- Assess system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Oversee data backup and system security operations, including user authorization and firewalls.
- Ensure data is handled, transferred, or processed in compliance with legal and company guidelines.
- Be responsible for device and password management to enhance security.
- Technical Support & Issue Resolution
- Provide IT support and guidance to stakeholders via the help desk at branches.
- Resolve escalated technical issues from external technicians and engineers.
- IT Governance & Cost Control
- Control costs and budgets related to IT systems to ensure financial efficiency.
- Digital Banking & Platform Development
- Supervise technicians in the development of the MetroPay platform.
- Assist in the deployment of the MetroPay platform to enhance financial services.
- Support the accounting team in implementing back-office accounting configurations in the banking software system.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- At least a degree in computer science, information technology, Security and Networks; or its equivalent.
- At least 3 years working experience in the computer software development, network and security, information systems
- An experience in the finance sector will be an added advantage;
- A good knowledge on mobile app development, website development, hardware repairs and social media advocacy.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English and French)
- Ability to use different IT techniques to protect company system and office automation tools
- Knowledge of hardware repairs
- Knowledge of office WAN and LAN network
- Proficiency in Software development and system deployment
- Knowledge in Core Banking software
- Knowledge of banking applications;
- Mastery of computer tools;
- Mastery of English and/or French (the second language will be an added advantage);
- Good knowledge in the micro, small and medium enterprises sectors in Cameroon.
